SOCIAL SECURITY LETS DOWN SENIORS

Golden Egg of Retirement

I guess Congress figures that seniors, who depend on social security as their major income, should be deprived of any increases (Cost of Living).  For the past three years, recipients have not seen an increase in their disposable income.  Instead, the government has given all of the increases to the insurance companies by increasing Medicare premiums.

Insurance Company Lobby

The insurance company lobby obviously is putting pressure on the government for more premium money to cover claims.  Then the insurance companies can build big, beautiful, expensive buildings and show huge profits while the poor recipients of social security continue to grow poorer.  Medicare premiums have increased every year for 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

The Importance of Backups

Backing up your computer files is something all users need to take seriously.  The importance of backups cannot be communicated adequately.

Struck With CrytoWall Virus

On October 29, 2014, I was using Firefox browser on my Windows 7 Operating system to chase a coupon.  It was backup day and between the first task and second task, I decided to chase a coupon received by email.

Election Nears

In preparing to be a voter on November, 4, 2014, I decided to search the available information on the candidates for governor.  The results are surprising.    The two candidates are incumbent, Governor Scott Walker and Mary Burke.  Here is what my research revealed:

Mary Burke

1.  Graduated from Harvard Business School in 1985.

2.  Worked for Intrepid Corporation between 1986 and 1989 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer ( a holding company owned by her father)
